The Art of It

Its creative season in my world. Creative season requires me to imagine I have artistic capabilities and that I can make something out of nothing and be so excited to add to the beauty of the world. Sometimes I can, but I often get distracted with my inability to match my mind's vision with my lacking art skills. Blah, blah, blah. I think its interesting that everything we like or are attracted to in the everyday life includes a picture. Ads are pictures either in their font or their images. Entertainment is visual. For me, even music because it comes with Rock God light shows or psychadelic shape making. Nature is visual. So why is it that so few people make the visuals and so few people take time to notice them, because they are always in our face? I have been looking for art that is shown everyday all across the country. Tv art, sure, but that's less enrapturing and engaging. I look for a more engaging cross county medium. So down the street I go to the train tracks to find my favorite graffiti of the day. It goes everywhere- every week. The same railcars carry tags, color, and images across this giant country. The art enters big cities, travels through the farm fields of Kansas, through CO and blocks many a driver on the way. Cows see it, people see it. So why is it not more profound in the sense that we know it like we know the AT and T commercial? How come we all can't sit down at lunch and name the artists with the ultimate exposure- grafitti artists? That's funny to me. Something that we see and show everyday all across the tracks is not even noticed? So today, I give notice to my favorite car with some kick ass artwork on it!
